ROBOTS IN DISGUISE Free Download – “Lies”

“a biting critique of tabloid muck-raking, fortuitously more relevant now than ever in the wake of the phone hacking scandal engulfing half of Fleet Street– thefourohfive.com

“Lies is another aggressive track. We like this other side to the bands personality” – Entertainment Focus

In light of the recent phone hacking, foam pie whacking and Fleet Street sackings, Robots in Disguise have decided to give away their album track ‘Lies’ as a free download.

Lies is taken from their recently released album ‘Happiness V Sadness’ and is a stand-out track for many reviewers. “The vicious bass line that runs throughout ‘Lies’ is strangely satisfying” – Contact Music.

It calls-out the problem of murky tabloid journalists and in particular, the lies they make up in order to sell papers.

No strangers to tabloid hoo-hah themselves, having been part of the Mighty Boosh and high-profile relationships for a few years, this tune is a biting retort to the unfair, and as it now transpires – illegal practices, that unscrupulous  journalists adopt, regardless of consequences to get that all important story or measly piece of gossip.

Not always supported by mainstream media but always buoyed by loyal fans, Robots in Disguise’ latest album was funded entirely by their fanbase via their innovative Pledge Music Campaign www.pledgemusic.com/projects/robotsindisguise.
